because I would pay just one bill, I had the system installed and paid a bit over $500 for additional sensors. Within a week the app did not work and I thought the problem was with my phone. 2 weeks later I receive a call from Comcast saying something was wrong with the system and to make a long story short after over 20 hours on the phone and 3 installations attempts, my account monitoring was cancelled for no apparent reason. I filed a complaint with the Florida division of agriculture and consumer, affairs and requested my initial investment to be reimbursed.

The ACLU goes on to say that while the collection of this private information by the government is in itself an unacceptable invasion of privacy, how they use the information is even more problematic to the point of abuse. Otherwise harmless data gets placed on a variety of watch lists, with harsh consequences. Innocent individuals are prevented from boarding planes, are unable to obtain certain types of jobs, have their bank accounts frozen and find themselves repeatedly questioned by authorities without knowing why.
